Farmer fees are not the CB approval fees
This PDF does not give a fixed rupee tariff for farmer certification. The Coffee Board’s Level 1 fee structure must be publicly accessible and supplied on request. Levels 2–3 use the approved body’s published fee structure, quotation and written acceptance, including notice of fee changes. The amounts ₹15,000, ₹20,000 per person-day, ₹50,000 annually and ₹500 per issued certificate on PDF page 80 are charges to certification bodies under provisional approval—not a farmer price list.
Plan around milestones, not a promised completion date
The scheme states stage-specific deadlines, not a guaranteed total turnaround. Level 1: complete registration within seven days, at least seven working days’ audit notice, corrections within the agreed maximum of three months. Levels 2–3: complete registration within one week, audit within three months, annual self-assessment/surveillance, three-year certificate, renewal application at least three months before expiry. Working days and calendar days are not interchangeable. Ask for the current checklist, all cost items, travel, follow-ups, renewal and any tax before accepting a quotation; this last list is practical advice, not a tariff in the PDF.
